In May, a local client required Kran's equipment rental services for a project in Palazu-Mare, Constanta County.
After assessing the project, we decided to send our all-terrain mobile crane, the truck-mounted mobile crane and one of our truck-mounted boom lifts.
The project consisted of handling a gas tank of 9t, which required two mobile cranes and a truck-mounted boom lift.
The three pieces of equipment had to work together and in perfect coordination given the fact that the handled load was a gas tank.
Manipulating a gas tank is a very delicate task and needs to be done with extra care and professionalism.
For this reason, a person had to be lifted with the truck-mounted boom lift to secure in place the lifting ropes.
Meanwhile, the crane operator gently lifted the gas tank from the refill station where was mounted.
At this point, the other crane came to help by securing the gas tank with another lifting rope so they could reposition the gas tank.
The gas tank had to be placed horizontally onto a pair of wooden supports and then had to be lifted and placed onto a trailer truck’s bed so it could be transported to a different location.
Our operators collaborated and coordinated perfectly the whole operation, managing to finish the task within few hours.
The client remained very satisfied with the collaboration between teams and with the professionalism with which the work was carried out.
Manipulating heavy and delicate loads requires the right equipment and operators to be done safely.
Mobile cranes and truck-mounted boom lifts are the right choices for such tasks. They work great together for special tasks like the one above.
Lifting and relocating a gas tank can be risky, that's why at least one mobile crane is required for the operation to be done in a safe manner.
