Extensive Project at Petromidia Refinery

Project Description and Requirements

Petromidia Refinery, located in Navodari, Romania, is one of the largest and most complex refineries in Eastern Europe. It plays a crucial role in the region’s energy infrastructure, undergoing regular inspections and overhauls to maintain its high standards of operational safety and efficiency. The project involved a thorough revision of the entire refinery, mandated by law to occur every 4-5 years. Kran’s role was to supply the necessary heavy machinery and equipment to ensure a seamless and efficient inspection process.

Used Equipments

After a detailed assessment of the project requirements, we provided the following equipment:

1. 1 40-ton Crane, 1 50-ton Crane, and 1 100-ton Crane
2. Two Trucks with 20-ton Cranes
3. One Tractor with a 12-meter Flat Trailer
4. Two Manitou 5-ton Telehandlers
5. Additional Equipment as needed

Project Timeline

The project was meticulously planned to ensure timely delivery and utilization of equipment:

• Cranes were scheduled from mid-February.
• Trucks with 5-ton cranes were also required from mid-February.
• Standard cranes were needed from early February(crane rental).

Coordination and Execution

Effective coordination was key to the project’s success. We maintained continuous communication with Petromidia Refinery to ensure all equipment was delivered on schedule and met the project’s specific requirements. Contracts and official requests were managed promptly to facilitate a smooth workflow (crane rental).

The Petromidia Refinery overhaul project demonstrates our experience in providing crane rental services for large-scale industrial tasks. Through detailed planning, clear communication, and a focus on meeting the client’s specific needs, we were able to facilitate the project’s smooth execution.
