The operation took place at night on Strada Griviței in Constanța, at a construction site in its foundation phase. Limited site access and excavation depth required a high-capacity mobile crane.
A Terex Demag AC100-5 mobile crane (100 tonnes) was used to lift two pieces of heavy equipment out of the foundation pit: a 16-tonne roller compactor and a backhoe loader. The work was carried out at night to avoid daytime traffic restrictions in the area.
The crane's telescopic boom was extended to reach over the pit, with outriggers deployed on the road surface. The operation was completed within the same night.
